FAQs

Do these awards apply to every trim on the lot?
Not always. IIHS awards often need a specific model year, and sometimes a built-after date. Headlights or body style can change the result too (the K4 sedan vs hatch is the clearest example). We’ll check the sticker and the door-jamb label together.

Where do I find the build date?
It’s on the certification label on the driver’s door or the pillar next to it, as the month and year it was made. That date decides the award for the Sportage, Sorento, K4 (2025), and 2027 Telluride TSP+.
